Is There a Way Out?

For indigenous people in the western hemisphere we have been contemplating, mourning and pilgrimaging along in disparity to what’s happened to the environment and the ecology of the earth. From being kin to all things, we are attached and imbedded in the earth, not floating above and controlling natures systems.

Joyce and I are on a walking pilgrimage to draw attention to what has been the first and the most important value to Indigenous peoples. Being Americans, we have suffered the marginalization and the removal of this governments energy to realign our efforts against climate change.

We are walking across NM with our prayers and our will to humble on behalf of all that is kin to us; the two legged, the four legged, as well as the microbiome of the earth.  We need your prayers.  If you could manage to take a minute, or an hour a day to intercede on our behalf as we trek along to make our wishes known to the policy makers at our New Mexico state capital. Every step we are taking is done with intention, with humility and with prayer.  You can join us in spirit by taking a little moment to pray with us and for us.  We are in the midst of walking some of the coldest weather in NM and are totally energized by this buffering of nature.  As we walk we feel the saints song being hidden in the cleft of the rock as the storm has hit us.  Please let your prayers focus on these people walking these next many days and as they finish the journey to the NM capital on February 5th. Please lift Desiree, Clara, Joyce, Myself and others that will join the pilgrimage along the way as we pilgrimage to the capital.  We have hundreds of miles left to go.  We need to be aware of the condition of our environment in many different levels. Peace be with you.

This Is Our Way Out.
